Good Management Practice
Good Management Practice (GMP)
Is defined as “Practices, procedures or tools that are effective at achieving the desired performance while providing for desired environmental outcomes. Good management practice evolves through time and results in continuous improvement as new information, technology and awareness of particular issues are developed and disseminated”.
Current GMP guidelines and documents referred to in the Proposed Natural Resources Plan can be found here. Wellington Regional Council will continue to develop GMP in collaboration with industry, other relevant organisations and stakeholders to support the implementation of policies which rely on GMP to achieve the desired environmental outcomes.
