An effective transport network is key to the way we live and work. We’re a busy, bustling region and it’s our role to help people and freight move quickly and safely in, out and around Greater Wellington.
We move around our region in different ways – driving, walking, cycling or taking public transport, so we plan carefully to make it work for everyone. That includes managing and funding all public transport. We also support safe, sustainable transport to work and school. We ensure disabled and elderly people have access to transport and work closely with partners on main road corridors. We’re determined to keep our region humming. Safe, efficient transport networks play a huge role in that.
