Metlink rail services on the Johnsonville Line are replaced by bus until further notice due to an emergency incident between Box Hill and Khandallah stations.

Emergency services attended the scene with some injured passengers taken to hospital.

Senior Manager Operations for Metlink Paul Tawharu says the cause of the incident is unknown at this stage and an investigation is underway.

“My immediate thoughts are for the safety and well-being of the passengers and Metlink staff on board. I’d also like to thank the emergency responders for their fast and excellent response,” says Paul Tawharu.

Trains on the Johnsonville line will be replaced by bus until further notice and passengers should expect delays.
