See Wainuiomata Regional Park from a new perspective.

Registrations are extremely limited for this guided walk and we are now sold out. it is common that we have some cancellations in the week leading up to the event. If you would like to be added to the wait list for this event please email events@gw.govt.nz

You'll be guided through beautiful native forest, exploring areas of the park not normally open to the public. Our knowledgeable park ranger will share the story of the Wainuiomata water collection area and describe how this water ends up in Wellington’s taps.  

Please note:  

  • This walk requires a moderate fitness level and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age.  

  • You’re likely to get wet feet. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing.  

  • Remember to bring your own lunch, snacks and a water bottle.
