Event details
Come watch a movie under the stars this summer!
Queen Elizabeth Park is one of our most popular parks in the region. Come in earlier and explore all that’s on offer. Bring your whole family along for a night of entertainment. There’s something for the whole whānau to enjoy!
Bring your bike to ride Te Ara o Whareroa track, or enjoy a nice walk along many tracks the park has to offer. Drive down the road to the Ramaroa building. There’ll be lots of parking along the road. This is not a drive-in movie, so for a memorable and comfy outdoor movie night, bring fold-up chairs, outdoor pillows and blankets. Don't forget to pack a picnic!
This year we are screening Paddington (2014). After a deadly earthquake destroys his home in Peruvian rainforest, a young bear with a passion for all things British travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined--until he meets the kind Brown family, who read the label around his neck ('Please look after this bear. Thank you.') and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of museum taxidermist Millicent Clyde.
This is a FREE family event and tickets are not required. Please leave your dogs at home.
